The season has officially started for the Tulsa Oilers, my team! The hype for this season has been centered around “more normal” functions and being able to meet and interact with the players. Last season they were very restricted in that they could not see fans, they couldn’t do a lot of their usual activities outside of the game of hockey and it really brought down the moral (I heard).
With all the excitement for the first game October 30th, the BOK Center ran into a catastrophic failure with the ice machine. This meant the postponing of the first home game.
Total. Sadness.
The cool thing was that everyone who had tickets to the game still got to enjoy the party that was a scheduled for 2 hours before the original puck drop.
Did it make up for the hype? Not really.
It was fun though – EVEN THOUGH I DIDN’T WIN ANYTHING FROM THE GIVEAWAYS.

Our next game is TONIGHT and I am so excited!!!!
The issues have been fixed, the ice is laid and everyone is ready for some hockey in T-Town!
Sounds like fun. I’ve only been to one NHL game a long time ago, but it was a good experience. Enjoy! 🏒
I’ve seen a few NHL preseason games that they’ve played in Tulsa! The Tulsa classics! Usually Dallas and like FL
