Why do we have to say buried… like BERRIED or something??

I’m BERRY shook by this… ha ha, I’ll stop!!

Actually, saying “buried” like “berried” is probably a Southern thing which explains a lot ~ we’re weird sometimes (and that’s okay (unless you’re against such a thing)).

On the other side of things, library is pronounced li-brair-ee, not li-berry. That drives me up the wall. Why?? When I say BERRIED… This may be due to elementary school teachers correcting everyone on the appropriate way to say library. Related to that correction was their insistence on saying “May I” instead of “Can I” when asking to go somewhere in the school. Now I’m that person correcting other kids. Oof.
