Just a Tuesday reminder to check your emails today before sending!
Yesterday, an employee at my company sent an email to a “group” which was actually a group of over 1,000 people. Turns out, which I knew from the start, it was not an email for literally everyone. Luckily, it was nothing serious of an email. Someone actually responded, too!! Rather funny, but embarrassing. I have been there before, for sure, only in college.
Tips for today:
- Proofread your email, subject line and recipients
- Make sure you’re sending to the correct group(s) of people
- Be courteous and complimentary, maybe, and possibly even courageous
I have a bad habit of proof reading my email AFTER I send it, so thanks for the reminder! 🙂
