10th Truth of Christmas – 2019

Where did Jingle Bells come from?

I found an online article that I think would be legitimate regarding Jingle Bells and the backstory. You can view it HERE.

An interesting thing I learned was that although it’s commonly known and is used primarily for Christmas, it doesn’t mention the holiday nor was it probably intended to be a Christmas song.

Among the other interesting things, I think people could easily find something to want to filter out of the airways just like they have with Baby It’s Cold Outside. *shrug*

The composer, James Pierpont, was inspired by sleigh races, most likely. Hello, though, these were probably in the winter months – CHRISTMAS TIME.

What songs are you always excited to sing this time of year??
