Normally these situations are fine – they’re simple, they end the same way, and insects are usually a bit smarter than a wiper blade.
When a bug lands on the windshield, which happens every so often, I turn the wiper on a notch and watch as it gets closer to the insect… how does this normally end? Not in death! I can tell you that much. Typically the little dude will move/fly away and all is well. What did this thing do? He gets crushed and suddenly I have a strip of brown insect guts on my window. *trauma*
Now instead of going about my drive I had to use some windshield washer fluid to clear the evidence. What a day! 🙂
