It’s been a hot minute since I’ve really updated here about my side “business.”

Truthfully, it’s not much of a business. I barely make anything. Making a ton wasn’t ever really a goal, but it was nice when I was making better, regular income from it. It’s totally my fault – I’ve slacked off the past couple years with posting and promoting it. Lack of orders didn’t encourage me and I also don’t like “bugging” people, asking if they want to place an order, etc.

What I’m trying to be better about moving forward is posting about Scentsy. I can’t expect this to be passive business income. I have to work at it at least a little. 🙂

The small amount I do make from regular orders I’m able to save over time and I’m using that small amount as intentional saving for my house. I don’t use those funds for anything else. I take it as a blessing! It’s kind of like having some gas money – it’s not a lot, but every bit helps and adds up.

I was actually away for probably months before I realized we no longer go by “Independent Scentsy Consultant” but now go by “Scentsy Fragrance Consultant.” LOL

Also, in that time, they released CANDLES.

I don’t know if you know this, but I do not like candles. I don’t like open flame. It’s one of the reasons I’ve loved Scentsy for as long as it’s been around.

For my birthday, a coworker friend got me one of these candle warmers where the bulb above the candle warms it up and you have no need to light the candle. So now candles aren’t a dealbreaker for me. 🙂

Not many people are in the market for Scentsy like they once were. Maybe it’s a saturated market? Maybe people don’t want to spend a premium price for something they can get cheaper at Wal-Mart? I don’t agree with it (because that brand isn’t as good), but I get it, too, because watching your money is important.

There’s so many consumables like the wax bars, cleaners, hand soaps, body wash and lotions that my family uses. My mom loves the laundry products so we order a lot of those, too.

I haven’t bought a new wax warmer in ages though. There’s so many pretty ones, but I literally don’t have any more room for more warmers.
