A chunk of life lately hasnโt been pleasant. Work life balance is off kilter and Iโm feeling exhausted, drained. Anyone who says itโs easier to get up earlier and drive into the office before the sun comes up, work all day and then head home in traffic clearly hasnโt experienced work from home life, because after 5 years of working from home, the working in office life isnโt working for me.
You know whatโs been bringing me joy and helps me make it through? Itโs a tiny lavender plant. ๐ญ
Weeks ago, I picked up a grow kit at Bass Pro. I picked out Lavender which is like my second time attempting these little grow kits, lavender specifically. I had a Daisy one but then never even planted it and it expired so I tossed it. I was hoping this time would work even though I always try to follow the instructions, these grow kits just do not like me for some reason. ๐
The package said 4-6 weeks for it to germinate. Doesnโt that mean sprout up???
Within a week and a half to two weeks, I HAD SPROUTS. Iโve been so excited!!
To date, I have so many sprouts and itโs bringing so much joy and anticipation to my days. I enjoy seeing the growth and watering my little plant. ๐ฑ

All Iโve been doing is keeping the soil moist, giving a little water every day, and keeping it in the window of my room where it gets a good dose of sunlight throughout the day facing east.
When I let my friend know about the excitement I had, she told me how encouraging it is for us to see growth in the nature. Thatโs so true! I get pretty excited to see growth, even when trees were planted in our backyard as a kid and now theyโre huge trees after 20 some years. Iโve been here for it, literally! LOL. Itโs like it happens overnight at times.
We can be excited for growth and watering as well in our spiritual life.
I feel different when Iโm well-watered. I feel different when Iโm encouraged by His Word. I feel different when Iโm obedient. Different is good because if Iโm not getting these things from Him, Iโm getting them from the world and itโs draining and destructive to my spiritual life. Itโs like being planted in bad soil, we canโt grow when weโre not well-watered and tended to.
Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.
โญโญProverbsโฌ โญ11โฌ:โญ25โฌ
What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. For we are Godโs fellow workers. You are Godโs field, Godโs building.

How are you doing lately being in the presence of the Son?
Do you feel well-watered or like youโre in a drought?
If youโre feeling in a drought, what can you do this weekend to step back into the light?
I hope you have a happy and safe Memorial Day weekend, friends!

With all the things that have brought me down over the past year, I have found that I really need to be well watered. Spending time with the Lord every day helps bring peace, even in the midst of messy situations. Great post. And I love your flowers. Thatโs awesome. ๐ชป
