Here the Lion Sits

Lions just keep popping up, I tell ya.

After writing my Jesus-Centered Question and Answer post, I was doing some regular reading when I came to Isaiah 35:9 and found another reference to lions!

*insert the small joys of finding hidden things in God’s word*

I include this whole little passage here.

And a great road will go through that once deserted land. It will be named the Highway of Holiness.

Evil-minded people will never travel on it. It will be only for those who walk in God’s ways; fools will never walk there.

Lions will not lurk along its course, nor any other ferocious beasts.

There will no other dangers. Only the redeemed will walk on it.

Those who have been ransomed by the LORD will return. They will enter Jerusalem singing, crowned with everlasting joy.

Sorrow and mourning will disappear, and they will be filled with joy and gladness.

Isaiah 35:8-10 (emphasis added)

In verse 9, Isaiah writes of the lions in terms of beasts. We won’t be scared!

Isaiah 35 is an encouraging passage for you today that what we face today is only temporary and that one day soon (in God’s timing) we will see God’s intended place for us who are in faith. ❤️

Our Lion reigns eternal and He is for us – who can be against us? 🙌🏻

Coincidentally, I got to church and our passage was in Romans 8. 🙌🏻
