Fullest Love in Eden

This will be a short blog post I’m sure, but I did want to share this song that I’ve had on repeat.

I tend to do that – keep songs on repeat – and eventually I move away from them because I’ve heard them so much. I try to not keep them on repeat, but when they’re so good and a favorite, who can blame me, really?

This song is something I jam to with earbuds in during work hours, in the car alone and sometimes when I’m falling asleep.

The song is Eden by Jervis Campbell. If you haven’t heard of him, he has some great songs out there! I just discovered him fairly recently.

These are the lyrics:

Born and raised in the darkness
Still my soul did sing
Out of a hope that brought tomorrow
Over love that covered me

In the times I’ve felt the farthest
Still your love did cling
Oh by faith my feet were grounded
Couldn’t defy your gravity

You’re the bones inside my body
You’re the fire that fills my lungs
You’re the reason I’m still standing
You’re the strength to carry on
And I wanna know you like it were Eden
Like it’s only the two of us
Oh I wanna walk among your presence
I want to feel your fullest love

I just wanna feel it, your fullest love
I just wanna feel it, your fullest love

Take me out from the harbor
And by your light you lead
Oh I wanna go into your still waters
I wanna sail your silver sea

And I know this life it gets harder
But as long as it’s you and me
Oh I wanna go in full abandon
I wanna give you everything

You’re the bones inside my body
You’re the fire that fills my lungs
You’re the reason I’m still standing
You’re the strength to carry on
And I wanna know you like it were Eden
Like it’s only the two of us
Oh I wanna walk among your presence
I want to feel your fullest love

I just wanna feel it, your fullest love
I just wanna feel it, your fullest love
I just wanna feel it, your fullest love
I just wanna feel it, your fullest love
I just wanna feel it, your fullest love
I just wanna feel it, oh

You’re the bones inside my body
You’re the fire that fills my lungs
You’re the reason I’m still standing
You’re the strength to carry on
And I wanna know you like it were Eden
Like it’s only the two of us
Oh I wanna walk among your presence
I want to feel your fullest love

I just wanna feel it, your fullest love
I just wanna feel it, your fullest love

It’s a beautiful song that describes a desire to feel the deepest love of God, walking in the presence of God our Father. I imagine walking in the Garden of Eden as Adam and Eve did and just fellowshipping with Him. Have you ever imagined that?

Occasionally, I’ve gotten all teared up listening to this. Since I’ve listened so many times, I’ve listened at different emotional states. Pieces of the lyrics hit different.

When I’m feeling low, lyrics of hardship and giving everything regardless to God, knowing that God is the reason I’m even here and guiding me, that gets me.

I hope you enjoy this song and it touches you in some way how it has me! If not, at least it’s a beautiful song. 🙂

  1. Thank you! I will check it out. I have not heard of him or the song. I used to listen to Christian radio for nearly two hours every day, on my commute (one hour each way). But since I have been working from home, I haven’t been listening nearly as much. So I feel very much out of the loop on new songs and artists. So thank you for sharing!

Oh yeah! I remember you saying that before. Didn’t you used to listen to audiobooks on your drive, too? It’s so quiet sometimes working at home that I need music! Lol
      Enjoy 🤗

      1. Yes! I did have an audible subscription but have cancelled. ☹️ Music can be good to keep me motivated while working. But usually I prefer quiet, if I can find it. Not always easy in my house. And my brain can’t have too much going on or I will get scattered and cranky. Lol. 😂

I’ve never paid for audible. I listen to audiobooks (not often… I used to be able to concentrate on mindless stuff at work and listen to a book, but not anymore, too much going on) through my library’s app. Libby, I think it’s called now.
I feel ya though! Lol It’s been hard to go back to the office – it’s not as quiet as home and I feel more distracted actually.

          1. I have Libby too. I think I you are the one who told me about it. I’ve used it, but not for awhile. I kind of forgot about it! Thanks for the reminder 😊

I currently have Overdrive but my library is discontinuing it and moving to Libby so I’m going to have to get that setup SOON. Sometimes I get ebooks from there. *sigh* dreading change lol
            You’re welcome, then! 😃

          3. I know what you mean.. hopefully it will be smoother than expected 😊
