“Be Your Own Hero,” they say. “Save yourselves.”
What about when we fail? What about when we absolutely cannot be our hero? What will you do when you realize you can’t save yourself?
Making things happen on your own and of your own power does not work. It appears that it does… until it doesn’t. Until other areas of your life fails. Until you no longer feel all in. Until what you’re working for doesn’t seem as important. Until saving yourself from whatever it is just can’t possibly be.

In those circumstances, who do you run to? Who picks you up and comforts you, encourages you and reminds you of promises? The only One whose promises mean anything in this world is God.
God is Provider.
God is Sufficient.
And the same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19
God is Comforter.
May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.
2 Corinthians 1:3
God is Promise Keeper.
For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations.
The Lord always keeps his promises; he is gracious in all he does.
Psalm 145:13
God is Encourager.
Leaning on your own power will only last so long. God’s power never runs out. Can you believe that? He doesn’t need our resources, He has everything He needs and then some. He’s outside of our world and His power rules over all. He performs miracles daily, He can take care of you and save you. He can be your hero.
Who is your hero?
