Today’s truth comes straight from the REASON FOR THE SEASON Himself.
In case you didn’t know, today is Christmas Eve!! This also means that today is the last day for 2019’s 12 Truths of Christmas. The best for last ♥
SWEET BABY JESUS
The Christmas story – Jesus’ birth – is the best story. It gives us a look into God’s great power through the Holy Spirit, obedience, miracles, love, joy, hope and blessings.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit was active especially in this miraculous story.
This is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 1:18
Obedience
There’s plenty of evidence within this story that tells us of the obedience from Mary and Joseph.
Mary responded, “I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true.”
Luke 1:38
When Joseph woke up, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded and took Mary as his wife.
Matthew 1:24
Miracles
Christmas is about miracles, a type of magic in the air as some may say. Only God can formulate a miracle and bring it to fruition.
He replied, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.”
Luke 18:27
He does great things too marvelous to understand. He performs countless miracles.
Job 5:9
Love
God’s love through Jesus, new baby always shows love, who doesnt love a baby??? Plus God is love so… no argument there.
Joy
Bundle of “joy” – duh 🙂 But seriously… joy is important this season!! We can have it year-round but let’s be sure to also show it to those around us. COUNT IT ALL JOY.
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity of great joy.
James 1:2
Hope
Jesus birth is a symbol of hope.
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. The you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13
Since this new way gives us such confidence, we can be very bold.
2 Corinthians 3:12
Blessings
Blessing entered into Google means “God’s favor or protection.”
Isn’t that the truth!!
I for one am amazed each year around this year at how blessed I am and how many little blessings that arise. God is SO good.
But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.
Jeremiah 17:7
God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied.
Matthew 5:6
I hope and pray that you are able to experience and recognize these things. What a BLESSING it is to be able to have the JOY of the season year round through the true story of Jesus birth, life, death, resurrection and reign forever.
