That moment youโre really a pacifist but there’s spiritual warfare going on.
Youโre a warrior for God.
Face the battle head on with the armor of God.

Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.
Ephesians 6:14

What is pacifism?
the belief that any violence, including war, is unjustifiable under any circumstances, and that all disputes should be settled by peaceful means.

I mean, what else do I say?
What are some of our daily battles as Christians?
Everyday, we have to fight off SOMETHING. What is it for you?
In general, Christians will be made fun of for believing in God (America, public school system), they’ll have spirits attacking their thoughts, we have to fight our own flesh every day, we have to fight against the world’s attractive views on literally everything. The biggest of these is our flesh. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT.
We also have battles against false teachers. These people can give people false hope, or a hope that God will make everything easy and make their life perfect or that He will give them what they want – money and possessions, commonly. God has never promised those things. Jesus never said that those things are guaranteed by believing and following Him. We must always check and recheck these teachings to make sure that they align with the scriptures and the words of Jesus.
So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.
Galatians 5:16-17
So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.
Romans 8:6

What is the armor of God?
THE POWER that comes from the HOLY SPIRIT.
Fruits of the spirit.
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
Galatians 5:22-23
Know the word.
Know who God is (the truth, not what the world wants us to think)
Follow Jesus closely.
Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy int he time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
Ephesians 6:11-13
I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you, I will sing praises to your name, O Most High. My enemies retreated; they staggered and died when you appeared. For you have judged in my favor; from your throne you have judged with fairness.
Psalms 91:4

What about the OT?
Not overtime, the Old Testament!
Something I’ve come to realize is that people justify their actions by what’s in the old testament. In reality, the old testament prophesied the new testament. The OT is the old way – much harsher and not the full scope of God’s plan for us. The New Testament is FILLED with hope, forgiveness, mercy (very undeserved!! might I add) and this NEW way. We can’t go back to way things were, especially after all Jesus did for us – HE DIED FOR US. So I think it’s important to note that here because someone’s gonna wanna argue about all the violence in the OT and that’s just gonna call for the other OT – over time. LOLLL
We cannot forget where we came from, the OT is very important because without it, the NT wouldn’t be much to us.
What do we do with this information?
Well, it ain’t sitting around eating pepperoni. *puts down bowl of pepperoni salad*
We have to remember that Jesus overcame. Jesus never fought anyone. He fought demons and He fought for all of God’s children through suffering, dying on the cross for us – something we didn’t deserve. He fought temptation – He is with us through ours! He understands everything we go through. We were given a huge freedom by this graceful, heroic and merciful act of deep, deep kindness. We can fight for God’s unreached children. There are people out there that NEED Jesus desperately and WE are the people that can bring the Good News to those who have no idea the name of Jesus and it’s power.
Practice the Fundamentals
Read your Bible.
Pray.
But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.
1 Thessalonians 5:8
The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here. So remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living.
Romans 13:12
We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.
2 Corinthians 10:4
Remember…
Being a pacifist is something we are really because Jesus is the PRINCE OF PEACE, man. We OFFER the other cheek, according to Jesus.
But I say, do not resist an evil person! If someone slaps you on the right cheek, offer the other cheek also.
Matthew 5:39
Being a pacifist does not mean we will not face battles. We face battles every day. Let Jesus walk with you and fight them spiritually and in a Biblical way for GOOD.
Jesus died for us so we don’t have to leave in fear and we can live in peace.
