The other day, when it was rainy and cloudy, while I was driving, my grandma sitting in the passenger seat said, “Those clouds separated just enough to let the sun shine through.” I don’t have a picture, but the clouds had this gap in them that was so bright and just had the sunshine pouring through.
I said “Yeah,” and immediately thought about my circumstances that are sometimes really hard to get through, understand and know what to do in response.
Why?
Because even when our days are cloudy, there’s still this space in the midst of it all that allows Jesus to shine through, our “sun.”
Our days are never so dark that His light is dimmed if we turn to Him.
I never want to have a day that I don’t have Jesus, now that I have Him. I can’t imagine a day without Him and now I can’t even remember a day without Him. What a blessing it is to walk and talk to Him, knowing we’re never truly alone.
Jesus doesn’t say we’ll never have trials. He promises to be there with us through them.
If your day is dark and gloomy, won’t you turn to the Light today?
