Monday night as I was reading some more of Emma M Lion, I thought how I should start my own journal that briefly goes over the daily events of my life.
This was mostly spurred by the fact that so many things happened I could write down.
Right after describing me sleeping 40min later than I wanted to, I would have been able to write a whole paragraph on how this other guy who usually parks one or two spaces over about the time I get to work, got MY unassigned-but-we-all-know-is-my spot right before I got to the office garage.
I was so shook up. ๐ญ It threw off my routine.
As I was thinking later in bed, still not writing anything in a journal, but thinking about nonetheless, I was reminded of our sense of entitlement.
It wasnโt my spot but Iโd had it for so long, it was just accepted that it was mine. I felt entitled to it.
All we have is given by God and He gives and takes away. We donโt understand when things are taken away, why things happen the way they do, but we trust and lean on our faith to continue forward.
So in this small scene here, I felt this guy had taken away my spot. You know what happened right after?
I spotted this other spot thatโs even BETTER open so I got it instead.
So really, it was a blessing that he took that spot on a day that the better spot was available.
Thatโs how God works, too. Does it always end up this way? No, but in it all, we can give Him the glory in the valleys and on the mountaintops. Heโs working for our good.
I hope youโre encouraged on this Wild Wednesday!
