Our Father & Inheritance

One morning as I was reading 1 Peter 1:3-9, I was writing down what it says about God. The usual things popped into my head as I read, like โ€œmerciful,โ€ โ€œprovider,โ€ and โ€œour hope.โ€ But as I reached verse 4, our inheritance is described as โ€œimperishable, undefiled, and unfading.โ€

Thatโ€™s who our God is!

Our God is imperishable and unfading because He has no beginning or end. He always was and always will be. Nothing can stop our God!

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

Revelation 22:13

Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

Psalm 90:2

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Hebrews 13:8

Our God is undefiled because in His perfect character, He couldnโ€™t be!

This God – his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.

Psalm 18:30

Our inheritance reflects Who our Father is. I love that!

Today we remember those who lost their lives 25 years ago at the World Trade Centers. Many gained their inheritance in heaven that day. The world and our lives were ever changed that day and through it all, He was with us and still is today.

We donโ€™t know what lies ahead, but we know One who is constant in whatever may be.
