Todayโ€™s song is a love song (as most are ๐Ÿ˜), but when I first heard it, I actually thought it was about God. ๐Ÿ˜…

So, itโ€™s a beautiful slow song about a relationship – through the highs and lows, you choose your person over and over again, falling in love with who they are and growing together.

A piece of lyric that I thought originally made this about our relationship with God was :

It’s not that things were different
It was you just changing me

I thought the “you” was You, as in God.

Our circumstances may not change, but we can be changed by Him Who is working through us during them. Our outcomes from trials feel different when we change our perspective.

If you think back on your life, it would look different if you didnโ€™t walk with God. It would look different if you weren’t taking refuge in Him.

So will you fall in love with God again today?

  1. The โ€˜Love Songโ€™ band from the 60s and 70s served as the catalyst for the Jesus Movement, setting the foundation for Contemporary Christian Music. Songs inviting the Holy Spirit into worship, reminiscent of period music. Their original two albums plus several live performances are on YouTube. Sadly, several members passed, but Amazon streams a three-part documentary that shows the early days and progression through the years. Enjoy!
