I hope you had a great holiday weekend! Since I didn’t last week, I thought this week we’d go with a patriotic theme for the song. This one isn’t really about America… but it was included in a 4th of July mix online that I looked through.

How Country Feels always makes me think of my Dad. My Dad wasn’t even a country boy, LOL. But this was one of his favorite songs. He got Randy Houser’s CD and we’d listen to him a lot in the car. He’d say randomly that we needed to “get some of that slow down fast.” Ugh, to hear it one more time…

Anyway, this song is special because of that, but also lyrically, it reminds us to get out or get away from our distractions and the busyness of life. As a city girl, I can’t imagine living in the middle of nowhere, but escaping for a while out there? For sure. I love that.

I didn’t realize this is over 10+ years old until I looked it up, but that makes sense. 🙂 Time just flies.
