Details & Patience

Have you ever watched the show How Itโ€™s Made? Or a video of something that was just simply satisfying? Like maybe itโ€™s educational, but watching it is just somehow soothing to you and easy to watch?

I get that way watching a car detailer I follow and have used before. His videos are simply entertaining and creative, but he also wants to educate everyone watching about car detailing – how they do stuff in the shop and stuff people can do at home.

While watching one of his recent videos where he was working on a car wrap and particularly how they wrap where the door handle goes. I was so engrossed in it. I knew I needed to get off Instagram and do something else, but it was just one of those simple things to watch. As I watched, I was thinking, wow, this isnโ€™t something you can rush at all.

I was also reminded that just like God is in the details – heating up where needed, smoothing out in other areas – we canโ€™t rush perfecting the details Heโ€™s all about.

Just as He Himself is perfect, His plans and execution of details are as well.

Sometimes we might be an unwilling or resistant piece of wrap and Godโ€™s working on us to transform us. Heโ€™s not going to force us to love Him or worship Him, but when we openly turn to Him and allow Him to work on us, He does mold us to be all He created us to be.

It takes patience on our part – waiting for this process to just be over, but itโ€™s a lifelong process of molding, transforming, and sanctifying. Patient is who God is. He kind of has to be to deal with all these crazy children, am I right????

Patience and details just go together. You canโ€™t be that detailed and have a small amount of patience.

Todayโ€™s encouragement:

  • God is perfecting the details of your life.
  • He gives purpose to our lives.
  • You may not be where you want to be, but God has you where you need to be. Trust Him where you are and that He has your final destination mapped.
  • I encourage to you have patience in your current season and allow God to work through you.
  • Romans 8:24-25, Colossians 1:11, Matthew 10:30

Iโ€™m including Noahโ€™s reel here and not because he asked me to (heโ€™ll probably never see this ๐Ÿ˜‚) but itโ€™s a cool video and he makes other cool content while also being open about his faith and family life outside of the shop!

I hope you enjoy your Friday and have a great weekend!

A few days ago or maybe last week in one of my prayers I was asking God how long it was going to take for me to get โ€œthere.โ€ Thank you for the reminder that it takes time for God to work on us and we need to be patient with His detail work. โ™ฅ๏ธ
