My Faith, My Soul

The theme of recent Bible readings and lessons have circled around “no compromise” and “standing firm.” I don’t know about you, but it’s been pretty in my face. 🙂

When going through my Bible study lesson for the last week of Daniel, I was struck with this one truth:

The world can’t take your faith or your soul. Just hold onto it.

Though the world can’t take your faith or your soul that’s protected by God, you can let it go through your compromise.

Our studies of His Word tells us over and over to endure, stand firm and hold fast.

Like I’ve mentioned previously, what we’re holding onto the most is what can define our moments. In the thick of trouble, maybe we hold onto our circumstances and fears more than God’s truth and protection, but we’re called to hold onto Him through it all. He is our strength. He is our protection.

If we’re easily swayed by the world, we’re giving away our soul in bits and pieces.

It’s so important now more than ever with the advances in technology and the spread of information that we’re feeding ourselves the truth and building a foundation on Him and not being swayed, manipulated and polluted by the worldviews that are faulty.

Encouragement:

  • Your faith and soul are protected by our Mighty God.
  • You can turn to Him TODAY, even if you didn’t yesterday.
  • Maybe you need the encouragement to stand firm in your faith, but if you know someone else who does, pass an encouragement on! Bring someone the truth this week.

Scriptures:

  • Galatians 5:1
  • Ephesians 6:13
  • 2 Timothy 2:12
  • Psalm 18:2

Hope you have a great start to your week and stand firm in your faith!

Such a great reminder to stand firm. There is so much going on in our world, and we really do need to remember that every day. Thank you, Summer.
