Today is a reminder for many of us that freedom isn’t free. Freedom came at a cost to so many over the years. Freedom came to America in 1776, which was really only the beginning. We’ve come a long way since that fateful night and we’ve also got a long way to go.

Today is a day that we wear red, white and blue. We might have parties. Most likely we’ll all see some fireworks, whether that’s in a backyard, at a huge event or maybe on television if you’re a homebody (or it’s just sweltering hot 🥵 ).

As we reflect on freedom today, will you also remember that just as the freedom of a nation came at a cost, so did our freedom in Christ.
