Happy Independence Day! ๐ฅณ ๐บ๐ธ
Today is a reminder for many of us that freedom isnโt free. Freedom came at a cost to so many over the years. Freedom came to America in 1776, which was really only the beginning. Weโve come a long way since that fateful night and weโve also got a long way to go.
Today is a day that we wear red, white and blue. We might have parties. Most likely weโll all see some fireworks, whether thatโs in a backyard, at a huge event or maybe on television if youโre a homebody (or itโs just sweltering hot ๐ฅต ).
As we reflect on freedom today, will you also remember that just as the freedom of a nation came at a cost, so did our freedom in Christ.
God bless you today and always. โค๏ธ
For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But donโt use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.
