Present and Future, where do you focus?

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

Romans 8:16-18

I read this verse in relation to a BSF question about the promises in God’s Word to Christians who generously give up much for Christ’s sake.

This verse is especially relevant today. Everywhere we look, particular in the news, there’s a lot of negative things going on in the world. There’s negative change, people arguing, people rioting, people just being flat out mean to one another.

I want to encourage you today to not be discouraged or only look at the present circumstances. Not only does God provide us with a tomorrow, but tomorrow might also be when He reveals Himself once more and finally. The glory that is to come, whenever that may be, will outweigh and outlive everything we go through in our short time here on earth.

It’s hard to be positive when you’re surrounded by all this junk that’s meant to distract us. Remember your purpose. Remember your loving Father in Heaven. Remember His promises to you.

I encourage you to reflect today on all He has blessed you and what He will do for your future, whether that’s tomorrow or in 30 years.

This verse is encouraging to me and I hope it has been for you as well. ❤️
