Do you think Jesus cared about His appearance – His clothing, His hair, and so on? Why or why not? Referenced in 1 Peter 3:3.

The answer

Nah, he probably didn’t let it get out of hand – hair all every which way and clothing kept dirty or with holes in it – but he probably had his own style just as we do and went about his business. This was such an easy question… haha

1 Peter 3:3 tells us to not be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes.

To expand my answer, I’d say that I don’t know what their clothing or jewelry industry was like way back then… not calling Jesus old or anything but… it was SOME TIME AGO. Did they have designer brands? Hard to believe… it could be possible though! Someone could have been making some nice clothes back then and charging a pretty penny! I don’t know. To compare to today’s time, I’d like to think that Jesus would be hitting up the thrift stores, as I’ve done plenty of times! There are some REALLY NICE finds in there.
