What I Read

On my blog, youโ€™ll find a small variety of things being read. I love to read and itโ€™s mostly romcom variety, but I do read other things as well.

I’m mostly reading paperbacks, but I do have quite a few Kindle books on my phone. I hope to have an actual Kindle in the future.

I will occasionally talk about books that inspire me to make a blog post throughout the month, but my book talk is generally contained to my once a month wrap ups that get published the first day of every new month.

Book wrap ups come with ratings, rando commentary/my general thoughts, my obsessive commentary on books I love with quotes and notes that may or may not mean anything to you.

My commentary and review of books are my thoughts alone, not required, and may not include all trigger/content warnings. If you ever have a question about a book, please reach out!

Subscribe or come back every month for new book and author recommendations. Comments are welcome as well!

The lists of favorite authors below are also who I would recommend to literally anyone. I hope you find your next favorite author or book today!

Fiction:

Any fiction I read will be closed door and mostly clean (if thereโ€™s cursing, itโ€™s minimal) if not completely clean.

Romcoms are so much fun and thereโ€™s been so many lately, I canโ€™t get to them fast enough.

Regency era is one of my favorites as well. Julie Klassen has been my favorite regency author so far. Others have populated on the scene and Iโ€™ve expended my regency horizons.

I will also read some suspense and mystery. I havenโ€™t as much as I did for a while, but they are still my favorites because they keep me turning the page.

Anything Christian romance is top tier for me. Recently Iโ€™ve discovered (thanks to Instagram) several new authors (to me and in general) that are writing Christian romance and not just clean romances. Itโ€™s so refreshing!!

Nonfiction:

The general theme of my nonfiction reads will be Christian. I donโ€™t do self-help books. I believe our best help comes from His Word and anything that detracts or distracts us from Him isnโ€™t helping at all. The same case could be made for our fiction reads – what we read should be honoring of our God and our relationship to Him.
