God Made Roses

My romantic heart had me contemplating roses Saturday morning. Iโ€™m not a big flower gal, not that Iโ€™ve ever received any, I guessโ€ฆ so maybe thatโ€™s why. But, I think even if I did, it wouldnโ€™t be like I would say thatโ€™s the most romantic thing. I would never say โ€œGet me flowers, and Iโ€™ll be happy.โ€ Iโ€™d probably rather be given hand picked books or be taken on a romantic walk down the Christian romance aisle. Just to name a couple of interesting things, here.

I donโ€™t know what my favorite flower is, but it could be roses. Who knows? Currently, my favorite plant is a sweet potato vine. I love those things. Itโ€™s a shame they donโ€™t stay alive year round.

Anyway, that afternoon my Gma and I were listening to Contemporary Christian music on MusicChoice and this song came on. First time I had heard it. Itโ€™s so beautiful. ๐Ÿฅน

Lyrics:

Ever wonder what was on the mind of the Maker
When He turned all of our sorrow into fields of grace
Right here in the middle of earth and Heaven
Caught between the romance and the pain
Can’t you see that

He must’ve known about the heartbreak long before us
He must’ve known about the mistakes, still He chose us
Planted the tree where He would die
Put thorns down the vine, and then He wore them
And love is the blood red stain, the beauty that the pain exposes
Maybe that’s why God made roses

God is in the whisper if you listen closely
Winter means that spring is just a breath away
So don’t go any faster than this very moment
Sing a hallelujah in the pouring rain
Can’t you see that

He must’ve known about the heartbreak long before us
He must’ve known about the mistakes, still He chose us
Planted the tree where He would die
Put thorns down the vine, and then He wore them
And love is the blood red stain, the beauty that the pain exposes
Maybe that’s why God made roses
Maybe that’s why God made roses

And just like petals falling to the ground
We fall in to the One who’s resurrection’s here and now
All things made new
And just like petals falling to the ground
We fall in to the One who’s resurrection’s here and now
All things made new
Can’t you see that

He must’ve known about the heartbreak long before us
He must’ve known about the mistakes, still He chose us
Planted the tree where He would die
Put thorns down the vine, and then He wore them
And love is the blood red stain, the beauty that the pain exposes
Maybe that’s why God made roses
Maybe that’s why God made roses

In one song, we know that God knew and God planned every single aspect of what would happen and what will happen going forward. Weโ€™re seen and weโ€™re chosen.

God didnโ€™t just make roses, but this is a beautiful reminder that God had a reason for everything He created, including you and me!

Have a great Sunday. ๐Ÿค—

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
